Anthony & Sarah

Despite the cold weather and intermittent rain, Anthony and Sarah’s wedding day was warm. With an intentional detail everywhere you looked, their day was a beautiful reflection of everything, and everyone, that makes their life whole. To wrap up the day in one word — personal.

Located in Katy, Texas on the outskirts of Houston, the couple hosted their friend and family at Beckendorff Farms. We know Texas weather is unpredictable, but this January wedding reflected winter through and through.

One of the more special moments of the morning and getting ready was Sarah’s bridesmaids praying over her. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Sarah and Anthony’s opted for a first look, which was both silly and intimate. Sarah’s maid-of-honor shot it all on a video camera they rented.

I don’t know that I’ve seen flower girls have this much fun! Having grandmothers serve as flower girls was absolutely precious and a sweet way to include family in your ceremony.

Sarah and Anthony’s newlywed portraits after the ceremony reflected their personality, with a balance of stoicism and lightheartedness.

The dance floor was popping ALL NIGHT! The couple even had former Aggie yell leader as a guest for the War Hymn. They also had a cookie cake instead of a traditional wedding cake, which I can vouch for being a great switch!

Two of my favorite moments from the night include Sarah’s grandmother joining her family on the dance floor for Katy Perry’s “Firework.” This is something that has become a tradition for the family at weddings. Sarah also surprised Anthony with two massive and tons of mini printouts of their dogs. This created another fun addition to their dance floor props!

The night ended with a private last dance before their exit. Creating a beautifully intimate memory to wrap up a very special day.
